Community CARES is Hiring a Director of Development Near Carlisle, PA

Job Summary:

The Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all of Community CARES’s fundraising including, the major gifts program, annual fund, planned to-give, special events, and capital campaigns. The Director works closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors in all development and fundraising endeavors.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. An Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.

Knowledge and experience in fundraising with an emphasis on major gift fundraising.

Essential Duties:

Build the planned giving program, direct the annual fund program and the capital campaign – as well as other major fundraising efforts.

Make public appearances/accept speaking engagements to share information about Community CARES with the community.

Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment that is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office setting with little to moderate exposure to noise, heat, dust or other adverse factors. Working extended hours may be required as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,602.47 - $57,575.02 per year
